SFU Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies

On International Women's Day, come be inspired by Soufra while interacting with local women who are empowered through their own cooking and craft skills.

Counsellor Ola Abugharbiyeh will then discuss ways for self-empowerment and self-discovery. Ola is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Throughout the past two decades, she has gained extensive Canadian and international experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families in clinical counseling, education, and case management. For many years, she has had the privilege to work with multicultural diverse clients providing them with the required assessment, and resources to support their transition into fully functioning, content individuals. Ola provides services in English and/or Arabic.

An event that would not be possible without the support of Zaytuna Services Society, RADIUS, and SMU's Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies.
