HI New Orleans Hostel and Catholic Charities Immigrant & Refugee Services

Join HI New Orleans Hostel and Catholic Charities Immigrant & Refugee Services (CCUSA) for a special film screening of Soufra, a movie filmed in a Palestinian refugee camp that follows the story of one woman’s struggle in uniting the community with a new business venture.

The film will be followed by a panel discussion with representatives from the CCUSA Immigrant and Refugee communities in the Greater New Orleans area. CCUSA advocates for immigration and refugee policies that protect family unity and allow newcomers an opportunity to contribute and participate more fully in their new communities.

Sure to be a powerful event, hosted by HI USA, a nonprofit, member organization founded on an enduring belief in the power of travel to foster a deeper understanding of people, places, and the world around. HI USA promotes a dynamic community of global citizens who have the wisdom and humanity to actively make the world a better place.

Tickets are $10, and include a plate of Koshari, a delicious vegetarian Egyptian cuisine.

Please note that this is a closed event and space is limited.
